Gunnery Sergeant Burns (played by Fred Dryer) is a tough and seasoned Marine who has seen action in conflicts around the world. He is assigned to a U.S. Embassy in the Middle East, where tensions are high due to the ongoing threat of terrorism.
However, Burns is dismayed to find that the embassy's security measures are severely restricted by the Ambassador's (played by Joseph Gian) "enlightened" views, which emphasize diplomacy over force. As a result, Burns and his fellow Marines are hamstrung in their efforts to protect the embassy and its personnel.
When a group of terrorists attack the embassy and take hostages, Burns is outraged at the lack of response from the Ambassador and the local security forces. Despite being ordered to stay put, he defies his superiors and takes matters into his own hands.
Armed with his combat training and fierce determination, Burns launches a one-man offensive against the terrorists, using every weapon and tactic at his disposal. As he takes on the terrorists' heavily armed and fortified compound, he faces overwhelming odds and a near-impossible mission: to rescue the hostages and eliminate the threat.
The stakes are high, and the cost of failure is unthinkable. But for Burns, the mission is clear: death before dishonor.
