Dictator's Revolutionary High School Takeover

Comedy  United States of America

"Dear Dictator" is a coming-of-age comedy film that follows the story of Tatiana Mills (Odeya Rush), a rebellious teenage girl with a dysfunctional family who is intrigued by the writing of British-Caribbean dictator, General Anton Vincent (Michael Caine). When General Vincent's regime begins to crumble, he flees to America to seek refuge with Tatiana.

Initially, Tatiana is reluctant to take in the dictator, but soon starts to enjoy the company of Vincent, and they form an unlikely bond. Vincent sees an opportunity to teach Tatiana how to stand up for herself and fight back against the "mean girls" in her high school. He trains her in the art of political revolution, encouraging her to start a rebellion and overthrow the popular clique led by cheerleader and head mean girl, Brianna Mellon (Katie Holmes).

As Tatiana and Vincent's friendship grows stronger, their antics start to get noticed by not only Brianna but also the FBI. Tatiana must balance her newfound strength and revolution with trying to avoid getting caught by the authorities. Ultimately, Tatiana's revolution not only has an impact on her high school but also has a profound effect on Vincent, teaching him valuable lessons about freedom and democracy.

"Dear Dictator" is a quirky and charming film that explores themes of teenage rebellion and finding one's purpose in life. The film stars a talented cast, including Michael Caine, Odeya Rush, and Katie Holmes, and is directed by Lisa Addario and Joe Syracuse. It offers a unique spin on the classic tale of unlikely friendships and the power of standing up for what is right, no matter what the cost.
