Deadman Standing is a poignant and gripping Western drama that tells the true story of a man's struggle to maintain justice in a town threatened by lawlessness and corruption. The film is set in the late 1800s in the small town of Kaycee, Wyoming, where Marshal Elmore Bolling (C. Thomas Howell) is still mourning the death of his wife and trying to come to terms with his own mortality. He spends most of his days drinking in the local saloon and waiting for his time to come.

However, Bolling's life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with a young boy named George (Kaleb Ortega), who is dying from tuberculosis. Despite their differences, the two quickly form a deep bond, and Bolling becomes determined to help the boy fulfill his last wishes before he passes away.

At the same time, Kaycee is infiltrated by a ruthless gang of cattlemen from Texas, who are determined to take over the town by any means necessary. Led by the charismatic and dangerous Langston (Viva Bianca), the gang terrorizes the locals, including the madam of the local brothel, Cora Mae (Marnie Alton), who is forced to work with Bolling to keep her business and employees safe.

As Bolling tries to balance his duty as a lawman with his responsibilities to George and his affection for Cora Mae, he finds himself drawn into a deadly game of cat and mouse with the gang, knowing that one misstep could mean his own death. With haunting landscapes, gritty action scenes, and powerful performances from its cast, Deadman Standing is a must-see for fans of the Western genre and anyone who appreciates a good story about love, loss, and redemption.
