As the rising singer, Maya, becomes increasingly successful, her husband, David, becomes increasingly jealous of her fame. In an effort to maintain control over Maya's career, he makes her sign an exclusive contract with his record label, shutting out other potential offers.
However, David's plan backfires when his ex-wife, Brooke, suddenly reenters their lives with a mission to reclaim her old life. With her status as a seasoned music executive, Brooke sets her sights on ousting Maya and taking over the record label herself.
As Maya's career begins to spiral out of control, she discovers David's dark secrets and realizes the depth of Brooke's manipulation. Maya must fight for her career, her relationships, and ultimately her life, in order to escape the deadly entanglement she has been caught in.
