Deadly Blessing is a horror film directed by Wes Craven and released in 1981. The movie revolves around a young woman named Martha, played by Maren Jensen, who lives on a farm with her husband Jim, played by Doug Barr. Her husband dies in a suspicious tractor accident, and Martha begins to suspect that the nearby religious community, known as the Hittites, are responsible for his death.

The Hittites follow a strict and mysterious religion that shuns outsiders and believes in evil spirits. As Martha becomes more paranoid, she is intimidated by the Hittites, who seem to be watching her every move. She is also haunted by terrifying nightmares that make her question her sanity.

To add to her fears, Martha's old friend Vicky, played by Susan Buckner, comes to visit and is also intimidated by the Hittites. Meanwhile, Jim's former college roommate, John, played by Jeff East, comes to the farm to pay his respects to the deceased. John and Martha develop a romantic relationship, much to the chagrin of the Hittites.

As the tension between Martha and the Hittites escalates, so do the mysterious deaths around the farm. Martha begins to unravel the truth behind her husband's death and the involvement of the Hittites. The final act of the movie is a chilling showdown between Martha and the Hittites.

Deadly Blessing is a classic horror film that plays on the fear of religious cults and the unknown. Wes Craven's signature suspense and terror make this movie a must-watch for horror fans.
