Dead Mine is a 2012 action-horror film directed by Steven Sheil. The movie follows a team of mercenaries led by expert treasure hunter, Granger, who are hired to explore an abandoned Japanese bunker in the Indonesian jungle to find the legendary Yamashita's Gold - a treasure looted by the Japanese during World War II. However, they soon realize that the bunker is not abandoned and they are trapped inside.
As they explore the bunker, they encounter deadly traps and puzzles left by the Japanese to protect their treasure. The team also discovers that the Japanese soldiers who were guarding the treasure had experimented with a chemical weapon that created zombie-like creatures who roam the bunker. The mercenaries must fight for their survival against both the traps and the undead soldiers.
Throughout the movie, Granger's backstory is revealed. He has a personal vendetta against the Japanese because they murdered his father during their occupation of Indonesia before the war. As the team struggles to find a way out of the bunker with the treasure and their lives, Granger faces his past and seeks revenge against those responsible for his father's death.
