After being shot and killed, Guerrero Hernandez (played by Danny Trejo) finds himself standing before the Devil himself, a figure known as Lucifer (Mickey Rourke). The devil offers Hernandez a deal: he will be brought back to life but in exchange, he must kill the corrupt mayor of the town where he was betrayed and murdered, and also retrieve a sacred item that was stolen from him.
Hernandez accepts the devil's offer and returns to the living world. However, he soon discovers that he has been resurrected as a member of the undead. He is unable to leave the town, and his body is slowly decaying. He meets up with his half-brother, Red (Anthony Michael Hall), who is also a member of the gang he was in before being killed.
Together, the two men set out to take revenge on the corrupt mayor, and the gang members who betrayed and killed Hernandez. Along the way, they encounter various supernatural beings, including a trio of witches who are worshipers of Lucifer.
As time runs out for Hernandez, he realizes that he must not only fulfill his end of the deal with the devil but also find a way to avoid being trapped in the town for all eternity. Dead in Tombstone is an action-packed, supernatural western that brings together elements of classic genre films with a unique twist.
