Dead Drop is a fast-paced action thriller that centers around Michael Carter (Luke Goss), a former CIA operative who has turned into a government contractor. Michael is sent on a mission to extract valuable intel from a high-ranking member of a North Mexican drug trafficking ring. However, things go terribly wrong during the operation, and Michael is thrown from a plane 3000-feet over the ocean.
Miraculously surviving the fall, Michael wakes up on a desolate beach with no memory of what happened to him or why he was thrown out of the plane. As he struggles to regain his memory, Michael realizes that he has been set up by someone close to him. With the help of a local police officer, Rosaria (Carolina Guerra), Michael sets out to infiltrate the drug cartel, retrace his steps, and uncover the truth about what happened to him.
As Michael gets deeper into the drug cartel, he realizes that there are bigger forces at play than he initially thought.
