DC League of Super-Pets is an upcoming animated superhero comedy film that is being produced by Warner Animation Group and set to be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is directed by Jared Stern and John Whittington, who also wrote the screenplay along with Johnny Rosenthal. The movie is a spin-off from the DC Universe and focuses on the adventures of the pets of various DC superhero characters.
The main character of the movie is Krypto the Super-Dog, who is the loyal companion of Superman. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto convinces a group of shelter pets to help him rescue them. The rag-tag group includes Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle, and Chip the squirrel. Each animal has their own unique abilities, and Krypto must help them learn how to use their newfound powers to save their masters.
As the adventure unfolds, the animal squad faces off against a villainous cat named Claudius, who has his own evil plans for the superheroes. The DC League of Super-Pets is filled with action, humor, and heartwarming moments as the unlikely heroes band together to save the day.
The film features an all-star voice cast, including Dwayne Johnson as Krypto, Kevin Hart as Ace, Keanu Reeves as Merton, John Krasinski as Superman, Vanessa Bayer as PB, and Natasha Lyonne as Lois Lane. The movie is set to release on May 20, 2022, and promises to be a fun-filled ride for all ages.
