The five college students in Darkness Waits are all avid paranormal enthusiasts and set out to investigate the infamous Dead Woman's Hollow Road, which has a history of unexplained deaths and supernatural occurrences. They bring along all sorts of gadgets and equipment to record any evidence they can find.
The group sets up camp in a clearing near the road and begins their investigation. However, as the night progresses, strange things start to happen, such as their equipment malfunctioning and eerie noises coming from the woods. They soon realize that they may have bitten off more than they can chew as people in their camp start dying one by one in gruesome ways.
As the only surviving member, the Sheriff realizes that the supernatural is not the cause of the deaths, but actually something much more sinister. He must come to terms with his own past and confront his personal demons in order to take down the evil lurking in their small town.
Darkness Waits is a chilling horror movie that will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The suspense builds to a heart-pumping climax that will leave you breathless.
