Dark Tide is a 2012 action thriller featuring Halle Berry as Kate, a once-successful shark expert and descendent of a family with a long history of shark attacks. After a close call with a massive great white shark that kills her mentor and friend, Kate quits the field and sets up a company that offers cage diving expeditions for wealthy thrill-seekers.

Five years later, struggling with debt and feeling guilt over the death of one of her clients, Kate is approached by Jeff, a wealthy businessman played by Olivier Martinez, who offers her a large sum of money to take him and his son on a dive in the most dangerous shark-infested waters known as Shark Alley. Kate initially refuses the offer, but after a chance encounter with her ex-boyfriend and shark researcher, Luke (played by Luke Evans), Kate starts to question her decision.

Kate eventually agrees to Jeff's offer, and the three of them set out on a boat, captained by the tough and experienced Callum (Ralph Brown), into Shark Alley. However, Kate's fears and traumatic memories from her past begin to resurface as their cage is suddenly lowered into the water, and the group comes face-to-face with a colossal great white shark that seems to be stalking them.

As they struggle to survive, tensions rise between Kate and Jeff, and the group must rely on their skills and resourcefulness to make it out alive. Meanwhile, Luke tries to make contact with Kate and the group from shore, but his attempts are thwarted by a group of local poachers who have been illegally hunting sharks in the area.

Dark Tide is a heart-pumping thriller that blends stunning underwater cinematography and intense action sequences with a compelling story about overcoming fear and facing one's past.
