Dark Planet is a 2009 sci-fi action film directed by Paul Ziller, starring Jewel Staite, J.P. Manoux, and Alan Dale. The movie is set in a future where two warring factions, the Alphas and the Rebels, have been fighting for control of Earth and outer space.
The story follows a joint mission between the two sides to explore a newly discovered habitable planet on the far side of a dangerous wormhole. The starship Scylla is chosen to lead the mission, with a crew made up of members from both factions.
