Dark Figures tells the story of five friends who decide to go on a hiking trip in the remote and treacherous wilderness of Arizona. One of the friends, Alex, is an amateur archaeologist who is interested in exploring ancient Native American ruins in the area.
While exploring the ruins, the friends accidentally awaken an ancient evil spirit that has been dormant for centuries. The spirit possesses one of the friends, Nate, and begins to terrorize the group, forcing them to flee deeper into the wilderness.
As they try to survive and evade the possessed Nate, they come across a small tribe of people who worship the ancient evil spirit. The tribe is led by a powerful shaman who believes the spirit has returned to cleanse the world of those who have lost their way.
The friends must fight both the possessed Nate and the tribe as they struggle to escape the wilderness alive. They quickly realize that not only is their physical survival at stake, but their spiritual survival as well.
Dark Figures explores themes of ancient Native American spirituality, possession, and the struggle between good and evil in a remote and unforgiving landscape.
