Dark Country is a psychological horror movie directed by and starring Thomas Jane, alongside Lauren German. The movie follows a newly married couple, Dick (Thomas Jane) and Gina (Lauren German), who are on their honeymoon in Las Vegas. On their way back, the couple takes a shortcut through the desert and hits a woman who is standing in the middle of the road.
They decide to take the woman to the nearest hospital, but they soon realize that she is already dead. As they try to figure out what to do next, they begin to experience strange occurrences. They hear strange noises and see visions of a man who seems to be following them. The couple realizes that they are being stalked by someone or something that is not of this world.
As they continue their journey through the desert, they come across a trucker who offers to help them. But, as they soon find out, the trucker is not what he seems, and the couple's nightmare takes an even darker turn. The movie unfolds as the couple tries to stay alive and solve the mystery of what is happening to them.
