Kaley is a high school senior who has always been at the top of her class. When she takes the SAT exam, she is surprised to see that a group of students who have always struggled academically have received scores that seem improbable.
The more she investigates, the more it becomes apparent that they are part of a cheating ring led by a mysterious figure who goes by the name "The Tutor."
As Kaley battles to expose the cheating ring and their ringleader, she finds herself in increasingly dangerous situations, including getting followed and threatened by The Tutor's henchmen, and even gets kidnapped at one point.
Determined to bring the cheating to light, Kaley enlists the help of some of her fellow students, including her best friend and a tech-savvy classmate. The group works tirelessly to gather evidence, which they ultimately present to the school board, leading to the expulsion of the cheaters and the arrest of The Tutor.
In the end, Kaley learns that doing the right thing sometimes comes at a great personal cost, but that it's always worth it.
