Damnation Alley is a post-apocalyptic science-fiction film released in 1977. It is based on a novel of the same name written by Roger Zelazny. The movie is set in a world devastated by a global nuclear war that has destroyed nearly all of civilization.

The film follows a group of survivors who are holed up at an underground military installation in the Mojave Desert. The group includes ex-Marine Tanner (Jan-Michael Vincent), scientist Keegan (George Peppard), and their companions, including a teenager, a dog, and a mysterious woman they rescue along the way.

After receiving a radio transmission from another group of survivors in Albany, New York, Tanner and Keegan embark on a dangerous cross-country journey to reach them. The group's armored vehicles are equipped with all-terrain treads, lasers, and other high-tech features to protect them against the dangers they face.

Their journey takes them through a harsh and unforgiving landscape, including a storm that unleashes a barrage of meteorites and a treacherous canyon inhabited by giant mutated scorpions. Along the way, they encounter other survivors, some friendly and some hostile, as they struggle to reach their destination and secure a new future for humanity.

Despite its flawed execution, Damnation Alley remains a cult classic and a competent entry in the post-apocalyptic genre. It's worth viewing for its creative set design, thrilling action sequences, and notable cast of actors.
