Dad Wanted is a Mexican family comedy movie released on September 11, 2020, directed by Javier Colinas. Blanca, a thrill-seeking tween girl with a passion for BMX racing, lives with her single mother, Mari. Mari puts a lot of pressure on Blanca to keep her grades up and stay away from danger, especially BMX racing, which she deems too dangerous for her daughter.
Blanca is devastated when she discovers that her mother has forbidden her from entering a BMX race. As Blanca prepares for the BMX race, Juan Miguel helps her train and encourages her to follow her dreams. The bond between Blanca and Juan Miguel grows stronger, and he becomes the father figure she has been missing in her life. Mari eventually discovers Juan Miguel's deception, but by that time, he and Blanca have developed a strong relationship.
The day of the BMX race arrives, and Blanca performs exceptionally well, giving her competition a run for their money. Mari and Juan Miguel come to an understanding, and he leaves before anyone discovers his true identity. Blanca and Mari realize how much they love Juan Miguel and feel his absence keenly.
