Dabangg is a 2010 Indian action-comedy film directed by Abhinav Kashyap and produced by Arbaaz Khan. The film stars Salman Khan in the lead role of Chulbul Pandey, a fearless and corrupt policeman who wants to rid his city of criminals.

The movie begins by introducing Chulbul Pandey, who has a strained relationship with his stepfather and younger half-brother. His mother, who was abused by her husband, left home when Chulbul was young, leaving him with his stepfather. Chulbul harbors some resentment towards his stepfather and younger half-brother, who is favored more than him.

As he grows up, Chulbul joins the police force and becomes corrupt. He uses his position to his advantage and has built up quite the reputation in the area as a fearless cop. However, his life changes when he comes face to face with a corrupt political leader, Cheddi Singh, played by Sonu Sood.

Cheddi Singh is infamous for his tyranny and lawlessness, and Chulbul is determined to put him behind bars. However, Singh has other plans, and the two engage in a cat-and-mouse game, with Chulbul using all his wits and skills to outsmart Singh.

At the same time, Chulbul falls in love with Rajo, played by Sonakshi Sinha, a village girl who is not only bewitched by Chulbul's charisma but also fills a void in his life. Rajo becomes his anchor, and Chulbul finds new purpose in life.
