Cry Macho is a drama film directed and produced by Clint Eastwood. It stars Eastwood as Mike Milo, a former rodeo star who is now working as a horse breeder. After his boss, Howard Polk (Dwight Yoakam), asks him to bring his son, Rafo (Eduardo Minett), back from Mexico, Mike reluctantly agrees.

During their journey back to Texas, Mike and Rafo face several challenges, including a run-in with a group of bikers and a confrontation with corrupt Mexican officials. However, they eventually develop a bond as Mike teaches Rafo how to ride horses and helps him deal with the loss of his mother.

Meanwhile, Howard's wife, Leta (Fernanda Urrejola), becomes increasingly concerned about the safety of her son and sends her own hired guns to intercept Mike and Rafo. In the end, Mike and Rafo make it back to Texas unharmed and Mike decides to retire from horse breeding and live a simpler life.

Cry Macho is based on the novel of the same name by N. Richard Nash and has been described as a "love letter to the American Southwest." It marks Eastwood's return to acting after a six-year hiatus and his first time directing a feature film since The Mule in 2018.
