College student Joe Talbot (Josh Charles) inherits a pendant from his father, who vanished without a trace when Joe was a child. The pendant is the key to a staff that can open up doorways to other dimensions, known as Crossworlds. When Joe is approached by Laura (Andrea Roth), a mysterious woman who claims to be from another dimension, he is drawn into a battle against the evil Ferris (Stuart Wilson) who is hot on their tail.
As they try to outrun Ferris and his goons, Joe and Laura seek the help of A.T. (Rutger Hauer), a semi-retired adventurer who is familiar with the Crossworlds and the dangers it holds. A.T. teams up with Joe and Laura to help them navigate the different dimensions and fight against Ferris, who is determined to get the pendant and unlock the power of the staff.
Together, they journey through a maze of unique and dangerous worlds, facing challenges and battling ferocious creatures along the way. As Joe learns more about his family history and the true power of the pendant, he realizes that he must use all his strength and courage to stop Ferris from getting his hands on the staff and unleashing its enormous power upon the world.
