"Crosses" is a crime thriller about two cousins, Jamal and Calvin, who inherit a successful codeine distribution business from their OG (original gangster) in Detroit. However, their newfound wealth and success attracts unwanted attention from rivals and law enforcement.
Soon after, their OG is murdered in a mysterious way, leaving Jamal and Calvin to take over his operation without any guidance. Jamal, the more volatile of the two cousins, struggles to keep control of the business while Calvin strives for a more legitimate lifestyle. As the pressure mounts, their partnership begins to fracture and they find themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal.
The film explores themes of loyalty, family, and legacy in the face of extreme adversity. It also features slick cinematography, tense action sequences, and an intense score by rising composer, Marcus Williams. "Crosses" is directed by up-and-coming filmmaker, Lenny Martinez and features a talented cast including rising actors, Jaden Michael and Niles Fitch.
