Crime Busters is a 1977 action-comedy film directed by Enzo Barboni and starring Terence Hill and Bud Spencer. The film centers around two unemployed men, Wilbur Walsh (Spencer) and Matt Kirby (Hill), who decide to become private detectives. However, they struggle to find any clients, and in a desperate attempt to make some money, they decide to rob a supermarket.

Unbeknownst to them, they accidentally break into a police station instead of the supermarket. While attempting to steal cash from the safe, they are caught red-handed by the police. However, instead of being arrested, they are given a proposition by the police chief, who offers to clear their criminal records in exchange for their help in catching a notorious gang of criminals.

Walsh and Kirby reluctantly agree and are drawn into a series of unexpected and hilarious situations as they work to take down the criminals and clear their names. During their escapades, the duo uses a variety of comical tactics, including disguises and rough-and-tumble brawls.

Ultimately, Walsh and Kirby are successful in catching the criminals, and their bravery earns them a newfound respect from the police force and the admiration of the public. They also find that they have a knack for detective work and decide to continue their new profession as private investigators.

Crime Busters is a classic example of the "buddy cop" genre that was popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It is a fun and lighthearted film that showcases the comedic talents of both Hill and Spencer.
