Cradle of Fear

Horror  United Kingdom

Cradle of Fear is a horror movie that pays tribute to the classic Amicus horror anthologies of the 1960s and 1970s. The film contains four interconnected stories that revolve around the gruesome desires of a child killer named Kemper. Kemper is locked away in a psychiatric institution, but he has a plan to get revenge on those who put him there.

The first story follows two goth girls who embark on a journey into the seedy underworld of London's BDSM scene. They are soon drugged and kidnapped by Kemper's accomplice, a mysterious figure known only as the Angel. The girls are subjected to a night of terror and torture, as the Angel implements Kemper's twisted plan.

The second story centers on two female robbers who team up to pull off a heist. As they try to divide the spoils, things take a violent turn, as they discover that they have more in common than they thought.

The third story focuses on the obscenely rich and thoroughly depraved drug addict, Marcus. He finds himself in hot water after an addiction-fueled killing spree.

The final story concerns an internet surfer who stumbles upon a website that leads him down a rabbit hole of madness and depravity. The site takes him on a journey through the darkest corners of the internet, culminating in a shocking revelation.

Throughout the film, Kemper's accomplice, the Angel, acts as a sort of guide and tormentor, leading the characters through the horrors of their own making. The film is notable for its extreme violence, graphic sex scenes, and the involvement of Dani Filth, the frontman of black metal band, Cradle of Filth.
