The movie Courting Mom and Dad revolves around the story of three siblings – 12-year-old Claire, 10-year-old Robbie, and 6-year-old Megan – who are heartbroken over their parents' decision to get divorced. The children are determined to stop their parents' separation and come up with a plan to reunite their family.
Desperate to find a solution, the children come across an eccentric personal injury attorney, who is known for his unconventional methods and unorthodox ideas. The attorney, Mr. Winston, agrees to help the kids with their mission and takes on their case.
Throughout the movie, the children work with Mr. Winston to create a series of elaborate schemes to bring their parents back together, ranging from setting up a fake home invasion to organizing a fake wedding ceremony. Along the way, their efforts result in a series of unfortunate accidents and mishaps, leading to some hilarious situations.
Despite the children's best efforts, their plans fail, and their parents' divorce seems inevitable. However, the experience of working with Mr. Winston and each other brings the siblings closer together, as they learn the true meaning of family and love.
In the end, the children come up with one last plan, and with the help of Mr. Winston, successfully reunite their parents, bringing their family back together again.
