Beau Williams is an aspiring musician who gets his big break when he meets Kelly Canter at a rehab facility. Kelly is a former country star who has struggled with addiction and personal issues, and she sees something in Beau that inspires her to take him under her wing.
Despite their age difference and Kelly's troubled past, the two become close and begin a romantic relationship. Meanwhile, Kelly's husband and manager James sees the potential for a comeback tour, and he recruits Chiles Stanton, a beauty queen with dreams of becoming a singer, to join the tour.
As the four of them travel across the country, they are faced with personal demons and romantic entanglements that threaten to tear them apart. Kelly struggles to stay sober and maintain her image as a country icon, while Beau and Chiles navigate their own complicated feelings for each other.
Throughout the film, the characters put on emotional performances of their hit songs, giving viewers a glimpse into the world of country music and the pressures that come with fame.
