Count Dracula (1970) is a Spanish-German horror film directed by Jess Franco. The plot follows the iconic vampire Count Dracula (played by Christopher Lee) as he relocates from his Castle in Transylvania to his new residence in England. Upon arrival, Dracula begins preying on the young maidens of the area, transforming them into his undead brides.

Dracula's method of immortality is unique in the film. He appears to be an old man with a predominantly silver beard, yet periodically rejuvenates himself with the blood of his victims, becoming younger and stronger as a result. It's not long before Van Helsing (played by Herbert Lom) and a team of vampire hunters begin to investigate the strange occurrences in the area and make a plan to stop Dracula before he can feed on more innocent women.

Count Dracula is generally considered a loose interpretation of Bram Stoker's original novel, with a number of added storylines including Dracula's servant Klove and his involvement with the Brides of Dracula, as well as a subplot involving a young man who falls under Dracula's control. Despite its deviations from the source material, Count Dracula is still beloved by horror fans for its stark, atmospheric visuals and Christopher Lee's masterful performance as the infamous Count.
