Ken Dantley Jr. is a high school student who dreams of designing and building his own exotic cars. When his shop class project, a tricked-out Corvette, is stolen from the school parking lot, Ken is devastated. Determined to find his car, Ken begins a quest that takes him all the way to Las Vegas.
In Vegas, Ken meets Vanessa, a teenage runaway who dreams of becoming a prostitute. Vanessa agrees to help Ken track down his car, and the two set out on a wild adventure through the city's seedy underworld.
As they pursue leads and dodge dangerous criminals, Ken and Vanessa begin to develop a strong bond. Despite their differences, they find that they have a lot in common and start to rely on each other.
Their search takes them to a car show where they finally spot Ken's beloved Corvette. The two teens devise a plan to steal the car back, and in the process, they discover the true identity of the thief.
With his car safely in his possession, Ken returns to school and is hailed as a hero. He also realizes that his experience with Vanessa has taught him valuable life lessons and given him a new perspective on the world.
