Cop Out is a 2010 action comedy film directed by Kevin Smith and starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. Jimmy (Willis) and Paul (Morgan) are two veteran NYPD detectives who have been partners for nine years. However, Jimmy is struggling financially because he's paying for his daughter's wedding, and when their latest mission goes awry, they're both suspended without pay.
Desperate for cash, Jimmy decides to sell a valuable baseball card that he's been holding onto for years. However, while trying to sell the card, it gets stolen during a robbery at the collector's shop. Without any leads, the NYPD can't help, so Jimmy and Paul decide to take matters into their own hands and track down the thief and the drug cartel behind the theft.
As they delve deeper into the investigation, they get into one hilarious mishap after another, including encounters with an obsessive compulsive gangster (played by Seann William Scott), a stolen car chase, and infiltrating a Pimps and Hos costume party. Despite the odds against them, Jimmy and Paul fight their way through the obstacles to recover the stolen baseball card and bring down the drug cartel.
Cop Out was panned by critics for its lack of originality and poor execution of its comedic elements. However, the chemistry between Willis and Morgan was praised as the film's one redeeming quality.
