Johnny and his band, the "Ice Cold Posse," are on the road heading to their next gig when they come across a broken-down car on the side of the road. They stop to help and that's when Johnny meets Kathy, who is on her way home from school. Johnny is immediately captivated by her and decides to stick around in town for a while, despite protest from his bandmates.
Kathy is skeptical of Johnny's bad boy image at first, but she can't deny the chemistry between them. She starts to fall for him too, despite her father's disapproval. Her father, who goes by the name Gordon, has been living under a false identity in the Witness Protection Program for years, but his past comes back to haunt him when the two corrupt cops who he was involved with in the past show up in town looking for him.
Meanwhile, Johnny and Kathy start spending more time together and he introduces her to his passion for music and dancing. They even create a music video together, which becomes a hit in the small town. But their budding romance is cut short when Kathy's father is kidnapped by the two cops who claim he owes them money.
Johnny and the Ice Cold Posse come to the rescue and a chaotic chase ensues, eventually leading to a final showdown with the corrupt cops. In the end, Kathy's father is saved and the bad guys are brought to justice.
