Coogan's Bluff is a 1968 American thriller film directed by Don Siegel and starring Clint Eastwood. Coogan, a no-nonsense Arizona deputy sheriff, arrives in New York City to extradite a prisoner named James Ringerman. However, Ringerman escapes, and Coogan finds himself in the middle of a sophisticated drug trafficking operation.

Coogan soon learns that the case is more complicated than he thought, and he must navigate the dangerous and unfamiliar terrain of the city to apprehend Ringerman. Along the way, he meets a beautiful probation officer named Julie Roth who provides him with valuable assistance.

As Coogan pursues Ringerman through the city's seedy underbelly, he clashes with various criminal elements and faces several violent showdowns. Will he be able to capture Ringerman and bring him back to Arizona, or will he fall victim to the corrupt forces of New York City?

With its pulsating action sequences, gritty portrayal of 1960s New York City, and Eastwood's iconic performance as Coogan, Coogan's Bluff remains a classic of both the crime thriller and Western genres.
