Company of Heroes is a war film released in 2013, based on the popular video game of the same name. The movie takes place during the later stages of World War II. The opening sequence shows a group of American soldiers embarking on a mission to destroy a German artillery unit, which they successfully accomplish, but in the process, they get separated from their main unit and find themselves behind enemy lines.
Soon thereafter, the soldiers discover that Hitler has developed a super bomb and is planning to launch a devastating attack on Allied forces. With the clock ticking, the team decides to set out and find the scientist responsible for the bomb, who they believe is looking to defect to the United States.
The soldiers face many obstacles along the way, including intense battles with Nazi forces and the harsh winter weather. They are also pursued by a rogue German unit, led by a sadistic officer who is determined to stop them at any cost.
As they journey deeper into enemy territory, the soldiers begin to experience the horrors of war and the toll it takes on both the body and mind. However, they are also inspired by the bravery and resilience of the people they meet along the way, particularly a young girl who they vow to protect.
