In Company Business, Sam Boyd (Gene Hackman) is an aging former CIA agent who is living out his retirement as a small-time businessman in Germany. However, he is called back into action when "the Company" asks him to oversee a prisoner exchange with the Soviets.

The exchange involves trading a Soviet spy named Grigori (Mikhail Baryshnikov) for an American agent named Pyiotr Grushenko (Kurtwood Smith). But as Sam and the team prepare for the exchange, they discover that the whole thing is a setup.

Grigori is actually a loyal American informant who has been working inside the Soviet Union for years. The plan is for Grigori to be "freed" in the exchange and hopefully lead the Americans to valuable intelligence. But things quickly go wrong when Grigori is shot before he can give any information and Pyiotr is killed in the crossfire.

Now, Sam and his team must uncover who betrayed them and why. They find themselves in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with both the CIA and the KGB. Along the way, Sam develops a relationship with Katya (Nadia Potts), a Russian translator who helps him navigate the treacherous terrain.

As Sam races to get to the bottom of the conspiracy, he realizes that he may not be able to trust anyone – not even the people he thought were on his side. The movie ends with a tense shootout that puts Sam's life in peril, but ultimately he emerges victorious and brings the conspirators to justice.
