Come Back, Little Sheba is a 1952 drama film directed by Daniel Mann. The film tells the story of Doc and Lola Delaney, a couple who have been married for over 20 years. They live in a small house in a peaceful neighborhood, but their marriage is far from perfect.
Doc (played by Burt Lancaster) is a recovering alcoholic who spends his days working as a chiropractor. He desperately misses his youth and his days as a football star, which causes him to be constantly dissatisfied with his life.
Lola (played by Shirley Booth) is a housewife who spends her days cleaning and cooking for her husband. She feels unfulfilled in her marriage, frustrated with Doc's lack of affection and attention towards her.
Their lives take a sudden turn when Marie (played by Terry Moore), a young and attractive college student, comes to rent a room in their house. Doc becomes infatuated with Marie, which creates tension between him and Lola.
As the story unfolds, Doc's drinking problem starts to resurface while Lola desperately tries to keep their marriage intact, despite feeling left out and neglected.
