Taylor Harris is a dedicated librarian who loses her job due to budget cuts. She decides to move back to her hometown in Montana to start fresh and figure out her next move. Upon arriving, she reconnects with her family, including her brother who owns a small hotel in the town.
However, Taylor soon learns that her brother's hotel is in danger of being taken over by Joel Sheenan, a wealthy tycoon who plans to renovate and expand it. Taylor is determined to help her brother save the hotel and preserve the character and charm of the town.
As she gets involved in the fight to save the hotel, Taylor also reconnects with her high school crush, a local contractor named Jake. As they work together, their friendship begins to blossom into something more.
