Jannicke is the only survivor of a group of friends who traveled to a remote mountain hotel for a skiing vacation. The group initially sought shelter at the hotel after getting lost in a snowstorm, but soon discovered that they were not alone. They were being hunted by the hotel's cold-blooded caretaker, who had a dark history of kidnapping and murdering guests.
In Cold Prey II, Jannicke is rescued and brought to a hospital where she is taken care of by a nurse named Camilla.
