Coffee & Kareem is a 2020 action-comedy film directed by Michael Dowse and written by Shane Mack. The film stars Ed Helms, Terrence Little Gardenhigh, Betty Gilpin, RonReaco Lee, and Taraji P. Henson.
The story follows the life of James Coffee (Ed Helms), a hardworking Detroit cop who is dating Vanessa Manning (Taraji P. Henson), a successful lawyer and single mother. Vanessa's son Kareem (Terrence Little Gardenhigh) is not happy with the relationship and concocts a plan to get rid of Coffee by hiring a dangerous criminal to scare him away. However, things take a dramatic turn when Kareem witnesses the criminal commit a murder and becomes the target of his wrath.
With their lives in danger, Coffee and Kareem team up to take down the ruthless criminal and clear their names. Along the way, they face several challenges, including corrupt cops and dangerous gang members. Coffee & Kareem offers a hilarious blend of action, humor, and heartfelt moments as the unlikely duo work together to save their lives and bring the criminal to justice.
