In Cocoon: The Return, the aging group of alien-human hybrids returns to Earth to visit their loved ones. They find that their families have aged considerably since they left, and they struggle to adapt to the changes. Meanwhile, the Antareans, the alien race that granted the pensioners their extended lives, is in danger. A group of rogue aliens plans to steal the energy from the cocoons that have helped to sustain human life on their planet. As they work to protect the cocoons, they also grapple with their own mortality and the prospect of leaving their loved ones once again.
