The movie follows the story of the beautiful and ruthless gangster Ned Ravine, who is found murdered in his mansion by an unknown assailant. However, the murderer is never found, and the authorities soon discover that all of Ravine's assets are in the name of his girlfriend Lisa, who is subsequently arrested and sent to a minimum-security prison called Club Fed.
Lisa is initially horrified at the prospect of spending time in prison, but she soon discovers that Club Fed is unlike any other prison she's heard of. The prison is more like a five-star resort, with luxurious accommodations, gourmet food, and a range of leisure activities. Lisa is amazed to find that every single inmate in the prison is filthy rich, and that they are all there for white-collar crimes ranging from insider trading to embezzlement.
