The main protagonist of the movie is Bailey, a college student with a strong desire for internet fame. She creates and posts outrageous videos on her social media accounts, going to new extremes each time to gain more followers. One day, she receives a private message from a fan who seems to know a lot about her, asking her to meet him in person. Despite her roommate, Emma's warnings, Bailey goes to meet the fan and ends up getting kidnapped.
Emma, who initially thought Bailey's online antics were harmless, is suddenly thrust into a dangerous situation and must find a way to rescue her roommate. She enlists the help of Bailey's friends and together they try to track down the kidnapper.
Throughout the search, they uncover more about Bailey's online persona and the lengths she was willing to go for fame. Meanwhile, Bailey struggles to survive in captivity and realizes the importance of her relationships and the real world beyond social media.
As Emma and her friends get closer to finding Bailey, they realize that the kidnapper is not just a crazed fan but someone who has personal ties to Bailey's past. In a race against time, Emma must confront the kidnapper and save Bailey before it's too late.
