Chuck Steel: Night of the Trampires is an animated action-comedy movie directed and written by Mike Mort. The movie is set in the 1980s and follows the adventures of Chuck Steel, a detective who is determined to solve a series of mysterious disappearances happening around Los Angeles.
As Chuck delves deeper into the case, he realizes that the missing people all have something in common – they had visited nightclubs and bars that had recently had their licensing hours reduced by the new Governor of LA. With the help of his trusty partner, Chuck starts to investigate these clubs, but things take a turn for the worse when they discover evidence of a bloodbath but no sign of the victims.
Just when Chuck thinks things couldn't get any weirder, he encounters a crazed old man who claims that an ancient evil is about to be unleashed on the city – a new type of monster called Trampires. Chuck dismisses the old man's warning, but when an escapee confirms the man's story and reveals that the Trampires are behind the disappearances, Chuck and his team must race against time to stop the Trampires from taking over the city.
Throughout the movie, viewers are treated to a blend of over-the-top action, humor, and nostalgia as they follow Chuck on his quest to save Los Angeles from the Trampires. The film features a talented cast of voice actors, including Michael Winslow as Chuck Steel, Samantha Coughlan as the disbelieving policewoman, and Nigel Pilkington as Abraham Van Rental.
