Chronicle is a science fiction film directed by Josh Trank, released in 2012. The film follows the story of three teenage boys: Andrew, Matt, and Steve. Andrew is an introverted and socially awkward teenager who is frequently bullied at school and struggles with an abusive father and a critically ill mother. Matt is Andrew's cousin and popular student in school, while Steve is the charismatic and outgoing class president.
One day, the three friends discover a mysterious underground cave that contains a glowing blue crystal. When they touch the crystal, they develop telekinetic powers and begin to explore the limits of their newly acquired abilities.

The climax of the movie involves a violent confrontation between the boys, which ultimately leads to a tragic ending.
