Reilly is a successful interior designer who is feeling burnt out and needs a break from her busy life in the city. She decides to spend Christmas in the small town of Mistletoe Lake, where she hopes to relax and find inspiration for her work. However, when she arrives, she discovers that all the hotels and rental properties are fully booked.
Desperate for a place to stay, Reilly meets a kind-hearted man named Ray who offers her a place to stay on his old boat. Though hesitant at first, she decides to accept the offer when she sees the potential of the boat and realizes that Ray is in the process of renovating it for the town's Christmas Harbor Festival.
As she helps Ray with the boat renovation, Reilly finds herself falling in love with the small town and its residents.
