Allie, a veterinarian in Evergreen, is a bit hesitant to spend Christmas with her long-distance boyfriend as she's not sure where their relationship stands. Meanwhile, Ryan is headed to Florida with his daughter Zoe to spend the holidays with his parents.
On their way to the airport, Allie's car breaks down and Ryan stops to help. They both feel a connection, but assume they'll never see each other again after parting ways.
However, fate seems to have other plans. While stopping at a diner, Zoe wishes on a snow globe for a white Christmas, and a sudden snowstorm forces Allie and Ryan to take shelter there.
As they spend more time together, their feelings for each other grow, but Allie's commitment to her boyfriend and Ryan's recent divorce make things complicated. Nevertheless, they both try to navigate their emotions and make the most of their unexpected holiday together in Evergreen.
Throughout the movie, viewrs are treated to festive scenes of small town Evergreen, ranging from tree lighting ceremony to a Christmas Market and more. As the romance between Allie and Ryan blossoms, viewers are left wondering whether they will end up together or part ways at the end of the holiday season.
