As Claire continues to work on reviving the bookstore, she enlists the help of the townspeople, including Andrew's close friend and local artist, Sally (Janet Kidder). Together, they organize a series of holiday events to bring the community together and raise funds to save the bookstore.
As Claire and Andrew spend more time together, their feelings for each other deepen, but Andrew is torn between his growing love for Claire and his obligation to his family who want him to sell the bookstore and pursue a more lucrative career.
