Child's Play 2 is a horror movie that picks up where the first film left off. After being destroyed at the end of the first movie, the possessed doll Chucky is reformatted and rebuilt by the Play Pals toy company. He is then sent to a foster home where Andy Barclay, the boy from the first movie, has been placed.
Chucky's goal is to transfer his soul into Andy's body, so he begins to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting family that has taken Andy in. He kills anyone who gets in his way, including the foster family's babysitter and the factory worker who had previously fixed him.
As the body count rises, Andy is the only one who knows the truth about Chucky, but no one believes him. Eventually, Andy and Kyle, the foster sister, team up to finally put an end to Chucky's reign of terror.
The movie is known for its dark humor, gory special effects, and the iconic performance of Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky. It was a box office success and paved the way for several sequels and spin-offs in the Child's Play franchise.
