The news-reporter, John Garrett, and his teenage son, Danny, arrive in Gatlin to report on the aftermath of the previous movie's events where all the adults were killed by the cult of children led by Isaac. However, they soon discover that something more sinister is going on as a series of strange murders occur in the town.
Investigating the murders, John and Danny uncover a new group of children who are hiding in the cornfields and worshipping an entity called "He Who Walks Behind the Rows". These children, led by a girl named Micah, believe that sacrificing the adults in town will bring them closer to their god and grant them eternal life.
As the locals become increasingly suspicious of John and Danny's investigation, the pair must race against time to uncover the truth about the cult and stop them from carrying out their final sacrifice. Along the way, they enlist the help of a teenage girl who has escaped the cult and knows the location of their hideout.
The movie climaxes in a bloody confrontation between the cult and the trio of heroes, leading to a final twist that reveals the true nature of "He Who Walks Behind the Rows". Despite being titled "The Final Sacrifice", the movie spawned several sequels and adaptations based on the original Stephen King short story.
