The movie is a sequel to the 2018 film Chief Daddy and picks up from where the first movie ended. In Chief Daddy 2: Going for Broke, the Beecroft family, who were left with Chief Daddy's multi-billion naira inheritance after his death, are living the life of luxury and spending money recklessly. However, their spending spree is cut short when the CEO of Chief Daddy's company, Lekan Ajadi (played by Falz) reveals that the company is going bankrupt due to the family's extravagant spending.
The Beecroft family is now faced with the task of returning all the money they spent back to the company to save it from going bankrupt. The movie follows their hilarious struggles as they try to come up with various schemes and plans to return the money while still maintaining their luxurious lifestyle.
