Cherry Falls is a 2000 horror movie directed by Geoffrey Wright and stars Brittany Murphy, Jay Mohr, and Michael Biehn. The movie takes place in the quiet town of Cherry Falls, where a serial killer is targeting the local high school students. The killer's modus operandi is unique- all his victims are virgins.

At the start of the movie, two teenagers are brutally killed while making out in a car. The town is in shock, and Sheriff Marken, played by Michael Biehn, is tasked with finding the killer before he strikes again. As the investigation progresses, it becomes apparent that the killer is specifically targeting virgins.

The town's teenagers are understandably frightened, and they decide to hold a massive party to lose their virginity, hoping that if everyone has sex, the killer will lose interest. However, the killer crashes the party and starts picking off the young, sexually-active teens.

As Sheriff Marken races against the clock to catch the killer, his daughter Jody, played by Brittany Murphy, becomes a prime target, as she is still a virgin. What follows is a tense and thrilling game of cat-and-mouse between the killer and the town's law enforcement. The movie ends with a shocking reveal about the killer's identity that leaves the audience reeling.

Cherry Falls was not a commercial success upon its release but has since gained a cult following for its subversion of classic slasher tropes and feminist themes. Brittany Murphy's performance as Jody is widely considered one of her best, and the movie's dark and twisted ending leaves a lasting impression.
