The working-class family, the Vatos, are struggling to make ends meet until they hear the news that a wealthy old man they had been doing odd jobs for has passed away and left them his mansion in his will. The family is stunned, but they pack up and move into the luxurious home, excited to start their new lives as wealthy individuals.
When they arrive, they discover that the old man had a son who was estranged, and he has come back to the mansion claiming to be the rightful heir. The son, who is snobby and entitled, refuses to believe that the Vatos are the new owners and accuses them of stealing from his father.
The Vatos try to prove their ownership, but the son goes to extreme lengths to have them removed from the property, including getting the police involved. In a series of hilarious mishaps, the Vatos are mistaken for guests at the mansion and are pampered by the staff, attending extravagant parties and wearing designer clothes.
