Chasing Wonders follows a young boy named Savino (played by Edward James Olmos' grandson, Alessandro Tiberi) who spends his childhood living under his father's strict rules and constant criticism. His father (played by Paz Vega's real-life husband, Orson Salazar) is a successful winemaker who is always pushing Savino to be better and work harder. When Savino's mother dies, his father becomes even more distant and the relationship between father and son becomes even more strained.
As Savino grows up, he becomes more and more disillusioned with his father's way of life and starts to question his own desires and aspirations. When Savino is presented with an opportunity to travel to Spain and work with his father's friend and fellow winemaker, Ramon (played by the legendary actor, William Fichtner), he jumps at the chance.
In Spain, Savino learns about the art of winemaking from Ramon and his family, and he discovers the beauty and magic of a different way of life. He also meets and falls in love with a beautiful Spanish woman named Carmen (played by Paz Vega), who helps him to understand the importance of forgiveness and the power of letting go of the past.
Chasing Wonders explores the universal themes of love, loss, forgiveness, and the complex relationships between fathers and sons. It is a moving and emotional story that takes viewers on a journey through the stunning landscapes of Australia and Spain, while also offering insights into the true nature of human relationships and the power of reconciliation.
